2010 Roster of Programs

ArtSpark

ArtSpark: June 14-18, June 21-25 and July 19-23

Ages: 6-11

Location: Carl Ben Eielson Middle School, Cheney Middle School, Dakota Montessori and Trollwood’s South Moorhead Campus

ArtSpark will kindle kids’ confidence, ignite their creativity, and get them fired up about the arts! Kids will engage in age-appropriate introductory theatre games, voice instruction, and movement. Each session is geared around a specialty theme.

Trollwood Academy

June 8-July 2 (Monday-Friday, except for the first week)
Trollwood’s South Moorhead Campus
Completed Grades 8-12

30 classes in the performing and productin arts. Beginning through advanced levels of Dance and Movement, Video Arts, Technical Theatre, Theatre Arts, Vocal Music, and Writing. Ninety-minute class sessions, 9:00 am to 4:10 pm daily.

Mainstage Musical

Cast Auditions: May 13-15
Cast Callbacks: Evening May 15-16
Orchestra Auditions: May 4-8

June 3-August 4
Trollwood’s South Moorhead Campus
Completed Grades 8-12 (Grade 7 as space permits on Technical Crews only)

Led by theatre professionals from across the nation, student cast, technical crews and orchestra members will be featured in the Cole Prter musical comedy, Anything Goes.

Totally Trollwood Musical

July 12-August 5, Monday-Friday
West Fargo High School
Completed Grades 6-8

Claim your place on stage and in the spotlight by participating in Seussical Junior, a Broadway Junior mucial. Full day rehearsals. No auditions to participate. Audition process to assign roles.

Second Stage

Main Avenue Theatre and Trollwood’s South Moorhead Campus
Completed Grades 8-12

Participants work as an ensemble with professionals of Theatre B to stage Shipwrecked!—An Entertainment, a thought-provoking, character-driven play. Students are also part of the design, construction, and management of the project.

STAR Program

Underserved and at-risk youth are recruited for STAR (STudents At Risk) participation and anonymously integrated into other TPAS programs. STAR kids may face challenges with a family situation, income level, immigration status, or experience difficulties with behavior issues. TPAS supplies STAR participants with the means to overcome these challenges and experience personal success.

Student Leadership Program

Student Leaders for Mainstge Musical, Second Stage, ArtSpark, and Totally Trollwood Musical. Completed grades 11 & 12, or at least 2 years Trollwood experience.

Advanced students are mentored by professional artists and receive leadership training through the arts, that enables them in turn to mentor others at Trollwood, and beyond.

Totally Trollwood Academy

June 8-July 2 (Monday-Thursday. except for performances)
Orientation: July 8, 1:00-4:00 pm, Trollwood’s South Moorhead Campus

Completed Grades 6-8

Morning or afternoon sessions teach young performing arts enthusiasts the basic skills of acting, vocal performance, and dance/movement. Participants also eligible for beginning level Trollwood Academy elective classes. No auditions required.
