2008 Student Orientation Sessions
ALL students participating in TPAS are required to attend a Student Orientation, scheduled as appropriate to their specific program. In addition to seeing old friends and meeting new ones, students will learn about important TPAS policies and procedures, take a tour of the park, and meet this summer’s faculty and staff.
ALL June Session, Mainstage Musical, and Second Stage participants will meet Monday, June 9, 10:00 am, Trollwood Park’s Barn Stage (red & white stage structure on the park’s east side). Totally Trollwood participants will meet on Saturday, July 28, 9:00 am-12:00 pm, Trollwood Park’s Barn Stage (red & white stage structure on the park’s east side).
Orientation Packets:
Orientation packets are your confirmation of registration. Packets are program specific, and will contain: * Your individualized schedule * Program information and policies * Map of Trollwood Park * Info on how to "do well and be well" while at TPAS * Plus, lots more!
June Session orientation packets are scheduled to be mailed Wednesday, June 4. Totally Trollwood orientation packets are scheduled to be mailed out Wednesday, June 25. If you do not receive an orientation packet by the DAY BEFORE your scheduled orientation session, please call the TPAS Registrar at 701-241-4799.
2008 Sun Celebration
Wednesday, July 2, 6:00-9:45 pm, Trollwood Park
Sun Celebration is your chance to shine! Show off what you’ve learned in four weeks of study during the June Session of performing and production arts classes. Parents, family, friends, and the entire community are invited to this celebration to sample cool summer treats, and then enjoy upbeat entertainment from TPAS June Session classes. The evening’s festivities will conclude at the mainstage, where we will honor the year’s graduating seniors, plus get a sneak preview of this year’s Second Stage show and the Mainstage Musical.
There’s even more to celebrate! Give your family cook the night off and join us at 5:00 pm for a TPAS fundraising dinner! We’re catering a summertime picnic meal for only $6/plate at the door—or, purchase your meal tickets in advance by June 27, 2008 (at the TPAS office) for $5.50/plate.
It’s your night! Following the Sun Celebration, all TPAS students (and one guest each) are invited to our Student Dance, from 9:45-11:45 pm. Bring your favorite music and let the DJ spin you out onto the dance floor, enjoy a late night snack, and take part in the summer’s hottest night of music and movement!
In the event of rain, all Sun Celebration activities will be at Discovery Middle School, where you’ll be able to shine despite the weather!
