Dedicated to empowering the arts for America’s future, NFAA’s mission is to identify emerging artists and assist them at critical junctures in their educational and professional development, and to raise the appreciation for, and support of, the arts in American society.

NFAA is a publicly supported nonprofit, non-governmental 501(c)(3) organization ffounded in 1981, with headquarters in Miami, Florida. The NFAA ARTS program identifies high school senior aged artists in the performing, literary and visual arts, and is the nation’s only scholarship program for high school seniors in ALL art forms. It is NOT a competition. Students are judged against a standard of excellence for their age group within their artistic discipline. They are not judged against each other.

Students chosen to participate in ARTS Week are brought to Miami for an all-expenses-paid week of master classes, showcase performances, exhibitions, interdisciplinary activities, enrichment programs and interviews, as well as final, live auditions. NFAA is the exclusive nominating agency for the Presidential Scholars in the Arts. All scholarship awards are funded through philanthropy.
