Totally Trollwood Presents “A New Home Companion”

Posted July 29, 2009

"A New Home Companion" will be performed Thursday, July 30th at 2:30 pm at Trollwood's IMAGINE Theatre. The show will also be presented as a pre-show performance to THE WIZ on July 31st and August 1st at 7:45 pm each night.

"A New Home Companion" is the culmination of three weeks of collaboration by middle school students and professional artists. The performance, which will be presented in an old time radio show style, will include song and dance, a radio mystery segment and spoken word poetry all focusing on the unifying theme of home and community.

The production is inspired by regional favorite Garrison Keilor's "A Prairie Home Companion" and also features musical arrangements by local musicians from The Johnson Family Band.

Free and open to the public on Thursday afternoon.
