"I can honestly link my career (and life, for that matter) back to the summer I turned 14 years old and took modern dance class for the first time at Trollwood Performing Arts School." —Megan Brunsvold, TPAS alumna and former TPAS dance faculty

Construction continues nearly on schedule for Trollwood’s new home! The amphitheatre stage floor steel is all in place! This first photo is taken from house left, atop the seating hill. The second photo is looking down the interior of the commons building. The third photo was taken standing on the plaza of the commons building, looking north to the amphitheatre (the edge of the circular events hall is in the shot). The fourth photo of the interior of the events hall shows that it is now all enclosed, and the beautiful ceiling of this space is the same throughout the entire commons building—wait’ll you see it! The final photo shows the masons hard at work applying the field stone to the building exterior. Again, this stone appears throughout the site on the arch buttresses, the front stage wall, and the concessions buildings, as well as here on the commons building.

The roof structure is in place over the amphitheatre stage and its four iconic arches, and work continues (despite the chilly weather!) on the ancillary amphitheatre spaces. The commons building is also taking shape. Additional images are of the circular events hall, an interior/upward shot of the events hall roof (beams and timber from Western Archrib of Canada), and the NW corner of the building (large conference room).

June 21, 2007

A Groundbreaking Ceremony was held on June 21. Participants experienced a Native American Ground Blessing, were entertained by current students and alumni families, and planted oak seedlings sprouted from the oak trees at our current location in Trollwood Park, Fargo as a symbolic connection of Trollwood’s past, present, and future.
