ArtSpark

ArtSpark will kindle kids’ confidence, ignite their creativity, and get them fired up about the arts! Kids will engage in age-appropriate introductory theatre games, voice instruction, and movement. Each session is geared around a specialty theme.

ArtSpark: June 11-15, June 20-22, July 18-22, July 16-20 and July 23-27

Ages: 6-11 by August 31, 2012

Location: Carl Ben Eielson Middle School, Cheney Middle School, Dakota Montessori and Trollwood Performing Arts School

Trollwood Conservatory

A two-week intensive study program for upper level students, featuring alumni artists and experienced educators. PLUS! We are currently collaborating with MSUM on the possibility of offering college credit (for a fee) for this new program.

Session One: Musical Theatre or Dance, June 5 (orientation) and 6-15, 10:30 am-2:30 pm, Monday-Friday

Ages: 16 - 20
Ages by August 31, 2012

Orientation: Get to know each other, meet the faculty, and enjoy special entertainment. Tuesday, June 5, 9:00 am-12:00 pm, Marcil Commons. Attendance is REQUIRED!

Placement Verification: June 5, 1:30 pm, Lucile’s Studio.

Session Two: Acting, June 18-29, 10:30 am-2:30 pm, Monday-Friday

Orientation & Placement Verification: First day of class, June 18.

Location: Trollwood Performing Arts School

Trollwood Academy

Nearly 40 classes in the performing and production arts. Beginning through advanced levels of Dance and Movement, Visual Arts, Technical Theatre, Theatre Arts, Vocal Music, and Writing. Ninety-minute class sessions, 8:50 am to 4:10 pm daily.

Program Dates: June 8-July 1 (Monday-Friday, except for the first week)

Ages: 14 - graduated senior in 2012
Ages by August 31, 2012

All students registered for an afternoon Trollwood Academy class will meet at 1:30 pm on June 5 in the Marcil Commons for a team building project. Attendance is REQUIRED!

Mainstage Musical

Led by theatre professionals from across the nation, student cast, technical crews and orchestra members will be featured in, Legally Blonde The Musical.

Cast Auditions: February 18 & 19

Cast Callbacks: February 20 & 21

Orchestra Auditions: February 16, 18, 19, 29, March 1 and by individual appointment

Program Dates: May 31-August 2

Ages: 14 - graduated senior in 2012 by August 31, 2012

Second Stage

Through mutual agreement, Trollwood and Theatre B have amicably decided to not partner on the Second Stage project this year due to differing mission directions. Trollwood is currently working to develop new options for this program and we hope to see it back soon. Trollwood is now accepting requests for proposals to provide continued offerings in the area of non-musical theatre for our students.

As an alternative, please consider or NEW Trollwood Conservatory program and Trollwood Academy classes to further your theatre training.

Totally Trollwood Academy

Morning or afternoon sessions teach young performing arts enthusiasts the basic skills of acting, vocal performance, and dance/movement. Participants may register for optional elective course(s).

Program Dates: June 5-29

Ages: 11 - 14 by August 31, 2012

Orientation: Tuesday, June 5, 9:00 am-12:00 pm, Trollwood Performing Arts School. Attendance is REQUIRED!

Totally Trollwood Musical

Claim your place on stage and in the spotlight by participating in Disney’s Camp Rock The Musical. Full day rehearsals. No auditions to participate. Audition process to assign roles.

Program Dates: July 9-August 2, 8:30 am-4:30 pm, Monday-Friday

Ages: 11 - 14 by August 31, 2011

Orientation: July 5, 7:00 pm, Trollwood Performing Arts School

Location: Fargo North High School Theatre

STAR Program

Underserved and at-risk youth are recruited for STAR (STudents At Risk) participation and anonymously integrated into other TPAS programs. STAR kids may face challenges with a family situation, income level, immigration status, or experience difficulties with behavior issues. TPAS supplies STAR participants with the means to overcome these challenges and experience personal success.

Student Leadership Program

Student Leaders for Mainstage Musical, ArtSpark, and Totally Trollwood Musical.

Ages: 16 - 18 by August 31, 2012, or at least 2 years Trollwood experience

Advanced students are mentored by professional artists and receive leadership training through the arts, that enables them in turn to mentor others at Trollwood, and beyond.
