2010 SEASON

ArtSpark

Program Dates: June 14-18, June 21-25 and July 19-23
Ages: 6-11
Locations: Carl Ben Eielson Middle School, Cheney Middle School, Dakota Montessori and Trollwood’s South Moorhead Campus

ArtSpark will kindle kids’ confidence, ignite their creativity, get them fired up about the arts, and show them how they can light up the world with the glow of their talent and spirit! Kids will engage in age-appropriate introductory theatre games, voice instruction, and movement.

Totally Trollwood Academy

Orientation: June 8, 1:00-4:00 pm
First Day of Class: June 9
Location: Trollwood’s South Moorhead Campus

Morning or afternoon sessions teach young performing arts enthusiasts the basic skills of acting, vocal performance, and dance/movement. Participants also eligible for beginning level Trollwood Academy elective classes. No auditions required.

Totally Trollwood Musical

Program Dates: July 12-August 5
Location: West Fargo High School
Completed Grades 6-8

Claim your place on stage and in the spotlight by participating in Seussical Junior, a Broadway Junior musical. Full day rehearsals. No additions to participate. Audition process to assign roles.

Trollwood Academy

Formerly June Session
Program Dates: June8-July 2
Orientation: June 8, 1:00-4:00 pm
Placement Verification: June 8, 9:00 am-12:00 pm
First Day of Class: June 9
Location: Trollwood’s South Moorhead Campus
Completed Grades 8-12

30 classes in the performing and production arts. beginning through advanced levels of Dance and Movement, Video Arts, Technical Theatre, Theatre Arts, Vocal Music, and Writing. Ninety-minute class sessions, 9:00 am to 4:10 pm daily.

Mainstage Musical

Completed Grades 8-12 (Grade 6-7 permitted on technical crews)

Led by theatre professionals from across the nation, student cast, technical crews and orchestra members will be featured in the Cole Porter musical comedy, Anything Goes.

Second Stage

Participants will work as an ensemble with professionals of Theatre B to stage Shipwrecked!—An Entertainment, a thought-provoking, character-driven play. Students are also part of the design, costructin, and management of the project.

Student Leadership

Student Leaders for Mainstage Musical, Second Stage, ArtSpark, and Totally Trollwood Musical. Completed Grades 11 & 12, or at least 2 years Trollwood experience.

Advanced students are mentored by professional artists and receive leadership training through the arts, that enables them in turn to mentor others at Trollwood, and beyond.
