Matthew Thibedeau Scholarship

Matthew Thibedeau Memorial Performance Scholarship

Established in memory of Matthew Thibedeau, Trollwood alumni and instructor, and international professional performer who passed away in 2009 from Cystic Fibrosis. This scholarship fund is dedicated to helping talented young people in our community take the steps to achieve their dreams of a career in the performing arts, by providing support for their training at Trollwood Performing Arts School.

An annual scholarship from a dedicated endowment fund will be awarded to a student who exemplifies Matthew’s drive to develop their skills in the arts, has an unflagging passion to perform, and has a strong desire to be a positive role model for others.

The Matthew Thibedeau Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to one or more students (as annual funds are available) who wish to participate in Trollwood Performing Arts School summer performance programs and meet the following criteria:

1. Demonstrate passion and interest in the performing arts.
2. Participate in school, church or other community performing arts opportunities.
3. Are recognized by their teachers, parents, or other mentors as having a high level of motivation to learn and grow in the arts.
